The second edition of the Amsterdam Chess Open will be held at the Corry Tendeloohuis, the Business Campus of the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. The Corry Tendeloohuis is easy to reach via public transport by taking the train or metro to the Bijlmer Arena stop.

​

There is no free parking near the location. The nearest parking garage is ParkBee Bijlmerdreef. Be aware that paid parking is very costly, we suggest coming to the venue by means of public transport.

​

Rating groups

The tournament will be played with the following rating groups:

Group A: 2000+

Group B: 1800-2000

Group C: 1650-1850

Group D: <1700

​

It is not possible to participate in a group if your rating does not suffice the requirements, unless you finished top 3 in group B, C and D in the previous edition, which gives you the right to promotion regardless of your rating

Check-in times are to be determined.

Playing times

Friday November 1st

• Round one: 10:00

• Round two: 15:00

Saturday November 2nd​

• Round three: 10:00

• Round four: 15:00

Sunday November 3rd

• Round five: 10:00​

• Round six: 15:00

The award ceremony will be held as soon as possible after the last round finishes.

The following prize funds will be awarded when there 450 or more participants

Format

The games are played with 90 minutes of thinking time and 30 seconds of increment for the entire game.

 

Byes

It is possible to request two byes in the first four rounds.
