Checkmate Sessions well-attended

Chess and techno come together in this community event designed to make chess more accessible. There is no competition—just plenty of music, no obligations, and free admission. On October 1st the session was attended by around 50 enthusiasts.

Once a month, on Thursdays from 7:00 PM to midnight, the Q-Factory Café is the place to be; chessboards are set up around the dance floor, and DJs provide the soundtrack for the Checkmate Sessions, ranging from hip-hop to hardgroove. You don’t need to be good at chess—you don’t even have to play. But it is an ideal way to learn. Come by, soak up the atmosphere, and make new friends.

Chess is being played on a DGT live-board next to the DJ-booth

The terrace was also packed
