Jan Timmerman
Jan is een veelzijdige persoonlijkheid met een passie voor schaken. Hij is voorzitter van het Amsterdam Chess Open en docent Commerciële economie aan de Hogeschool van Amsterdam. Als bestuurslid van schaakvereniging Caïssa en deelnemer aan de verschillende competities en toernooien heeft hij een uitgebreid netwerk in de Amsterdamse schaakwereld opgebouwd. Jan is bekend om zijn enthousiasme en zijn (vaak te) aanvallende speelstijl, zoals zijn favoriete opening het Koningsgambiet.
